21^st INTERNATIONAL ENAMELLERS CONGRESS- SHANGAI

CALL FOR PAPERS

During the 21^st International Enamellers Congress there will be many important programmes including technical presentations and factory tours.

Suggested topics for the papers:

Base materials: Steel, aluminium, cast iron, with particular emphasis on recent developments.

Enamels: new product developments linked to industrial production and application technologies.

Engineering: the papers covering this topic may refer to the various phases of the entire production cycle of enamelled items (casting, forming or fabricating, welding, pre-treatment, preparation and coating of the enamels, drying, firing and assembly).

Production Management: processes and quality control, production flow scheduling, computerisation.

International Market: present market analysis of various enamel wares, prospects for new products.

Designing items to be enamelled

Environment, ecology, energy saving and safety

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Authors from frit manufacturers and engineering companies are requested to submit manuscripts written in four languages (English, French, German and Italian).

Authors from universities and research institutions shall submit manuscripts in both English and one of the languages of their choice (French or German or Italian).

The abstract of paper shall not exceed 1000 words. It must be submitted in both English and one of the other congress languages (French, German, and Italian).

The following must be clearly indicated in the extended abstract:

Name, biographical data and contact details for the Author(s).

The title of the paper and 5 key words.

The topic(s) (see points 1-7) covered by the paper.

Objectives

The results and conclusions

Tables and graphs, if considered necessary, are acceptable.

SCHEDULE

:: Deadline for abstract submission: December 31, 2006.
:: Acceptance notification to authors: January 31, 2007.
:: Deadline for final manuscript: November 30, 2007.

Each speaker is allocated a maximum of 30 minutes to present the paper and answer questions from the audience. The presentation language shall be either Chinese or English.

Congress languages: Chinese, English, French, German, and Italian.

The papers will be translated simultaneously into the congress languages.

The abstract and the final manuscript (in MS Word format) must be submitted to all of the following three e-mail addresses simultaneously:
